Dave Lewis Addresses Rural Call Completion During Keynote at IP Possibilities

ANPI ZONE’s CEO, Dave Lewis was the keynote speaker at NTCA’s/OPASTCO’s  IP Possibilities Conference on Thursday, April 12, 2012. Dave’s message focused on the recurring issue of long distance calls not terminating into rural exchanges across America.  After his speech Viodi’s Ken Pyle interviewed Dave to recap some of the key points from his keynote. You can watch the interview here.

Numerous organizations, including ANPI ZONE, are actively working with the FCC and others in an attempt to mitigate rural call completion problems.  Dave provided an update on ANPI ZONE’s findings, including current opinion polls on the impact of the FCC’s Declaratory Ruling issued in January. In addition to sharing investigative efforts, he introduced steps being taken to achieve resolution. As Dave effectively communicated during the FCC’s Rural Call Completion Workshop in October 2011 – call completion is more than a problem – it is an epidemic that affects public safety and adversely impacts businesses that depend on reliable voice and data transmissions. ANPI ZONE continues to gather and report inbound call quality examples, and encourages carriers to keep submitting inbound call examples
